This was the day I gave my testimony in the Wood hearing before the Senate Committee and had my verbal tilt with Senator Jos. Foraker, who was later shown to have accepted a $50,000 retainer fee from the Standard Oil Co., while Senator of U.S. = After the Wood hearing I went to Boston. See Dec. 8 & 18, 1903 – My interview.
