Rec’d following: “Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., March 17, 1897. Mr. Alex E. Frye (sic), Dear Sir: – I am happy to inform you that because of the excellent record you have made during your first half year of study here, our Committee on Admission from other Colleges has voted to accept you as a candidate for the A.M. Degree on the same terms which would be granted to a Harvard A.B. of 1896. These are the best terms which can be given. – Very Truly Yours, Richard Cobb, Corresponding Secretary.” See 30 June, 1897.
